Graduate school has many perks--including the opportunity to hang out with actor Sean Astin. We discussed Rudy: Movie as well as one of his earlier roles, Memphis Belle, which afforded us time to chat some WWII history and film production stories. Naturally, he also spoke about The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and Stranger Things. The theme of his main talk at Penn State Harrisburg Thursday night was mental health awareness, of which he is a vocal proponent. A very nice guy!
