Punjab govt will now run from ‘pinds’ – After stunning AAP sweep, Bhagwant Mann’s swipe at Amarinder Singh:

Aam Aadmi party has proven the March 7 exit polls correct as it has emerged as the single largest party in Punjab Election Results 2022. The latest trends by the Election Commission of India show that the party is leading on over 90 seats in Punjab. If trends convert into results, this would mean a stunning sweep by the AAP, which has so far been seen as a regional player limited just to Delhi. In his victory speech, soon-to-be Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann thanked the people of Punjab for posing faith in him and the Aam Aadmi Party. Without taking name, Mann took a swipe at Captain Amarinder Singh and said that “earlier, the state government used to be run from palaces, but now we have brought the government to pinds (villages).” Mann said that now, the state government will run from pinds, from mohallas and cities. Promising a sport university in Jallandhar, Mann said that his first priority is to tackle the issue of joblessness in Punjab.
