  • Vlogger couple Jayzam Manabat and Camille Trinidad, popularly known as JaMill, have returned to producing content on YouTube, a month after they decided to bid goodbye to the platform.

In a lengthy video clip, their first for their new YouTube channel, Manabat and Trinidad set the record straight on why they deleted their channel before which had more than 12 million subscribers.

According to Manabat, their relationship was greatly tested in 2021 and started to become toxic.

Pangit ng 2021 sa 'min,” he said.

“Dito kami sinubok.

Trinidad added that they realized that as they moved closer to God, temptations kept coming.

This was echoed by her partner who admitted they got overwhelmed with everything that was happening to their lives.

They went on to share that they thought they were healed already after a series of controversies and debacles, but it turned out that the road to move on fully from the past was a test of character.
Trinidad recalled getting emotional whenever the past crossed her mind again which eventually led to the deletion of the channel.

The collapse of their first channel was sparked by Trinidad's interview with a certain brand for a long-term project.
He said Trinidad underwent what appeared to be a counseling session to check her mental state before dealing with the project.

However, during the interview, questions about their relationship seemed to have triggered Trinidad.

Trinidad revealed she was the one who deleted the channel but regretted the action afterwards.

Manabat was quick to reassure his girlfriend that he has no problem with it, professing that his love for Trinidad is greater than their channel.

“Naintindihan kita. Wala akong pake kahit dinilete mo. Ikaw ang mahalaga. Ikaw ang mahal ko. Mas mahal kita kaysa sa channel na yun,” he told Trinidad.

“Alam kong pinaghirapan namin 'yon. Mahal ko 'tong taong to talaga.”

Last August, the couple confirmed that they deleted their YouTube channel, much to the surprise of many netizens.

“JaMill is now signing off. Pero Jayzam & camille is ♾,” Trinidad said on Twitter

  • MANILA — Davao ity Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio on Wednesday thanked her supporters disappointed by her decision to rule out a presidential bid in 2022.

Sara Duterte says won't vie for presidency due to father's VP run

The Davao City mayor last week said she will not run for president in 2022 following her father President Rodrigo Duterte's decision to run for vice president, citing their agreement that only one Duterte will seek a national post.

Sara not running for President? Pacquiao camp says it's another 'smokescreen'
Instead, Duterte-Caprio rallied her supporters to back her father's candidacy next year.

Sara Duterte-Carpio most preferred as presidential bet in 2022 polls— Pulse Asia
Duterte-Carpio said she hopes her supporters will continue to back her endeavors even outside the election.

Despite her announcement, several analysts said this should be taken with a "grain of salt" considering her father's similar strategy in 2016.

Political analysts doubt Sara Duterte's decision on 2022 polls
The Commission on Elections will start accepting certificates of candidacy for all positions on October 1 to 8.

  • MANILA—All courts in the National Capital Region will remain physically closed despite easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the Supreme Court said Wednesday.

"The courts in NCR shall continue to operate online and conduct videoconferencing hearings on pending cases and all other matters, whether urgent or not, as far as practicable, so as not to delay the trial of cases and court processes," Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo said in Administrative Circular No. 72-2021.

The period of filing and service of pleadings and motions is still suspended, the high court said. It will resume after 7 calendar days counted from the first day of the physical reopening of the court.

Gesmundo also said essential judicial offices would maintain the necessary skeleton staff "to enable them to address all urgent matters and concerns."

The high court also further extended the "no personal filing" policy, "unless for exceptionally urgent matters and only after having been properly communicated and cleared with the proper office."

Starting Thursday, Sept. 16, Metro Manila's 13.5 million people will be placed under Alert Level 4 in the government's new quarantine classification.

Under Level 4, outdoor or al fresco dine-in services will be permitted at 30 percent capacity. Indoor dine-in services will only be allowed at 10 percent capacity and can only cater to those fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Personal care services limited to barbershops, hair spas, nail spas, and beauty salons are allowed to operate also at 30 percent capacity if they operate in an outdoor setting. If they function indoors, only 10 percent of seating capacity is allowed.

Religious gatherings are allowed in the same condition, with all church workers required to be fully vaccinated.
