Yesterday a woman became the first person to die because of COVID-19 in the Maltese islands. May she rest in peace. Kudos to the authorities for quickly holding a press conference so as to nip the toxic rumour mill in the bud, and get the facts straight. Spoiler alert: There will be more. And some won’t be in their 90s, and some will be previously healthy individuals, maybe people we know, or relatives of ours.
