    I always thought chicken nuggies were our friends, but not in this case. This comedy horror flick turns kids who haven’t hit puberty into bloodthirsty little maniacs. It’s up to Rainn Wilson, Elijah Wood and Alison Pill to ward off the beats before they take over the whole town. This is a movie I didn’t like as much as I should. Everything about this flick screams Jay, but I found it just okay. It’s funny, I love the actors and it’s nice and gory but I was still a little underwhelmed. I watched Cooties on DVD.

    You think you’re dealing with a war movie where John Wayne and Robert Mitchum are going to teach those Krauts a lesson or two single-handedly. (And who still watches movies with John Wayne?)
    In fact, ”The Longest Day” (directed by Ken Annakin and others, produced by studio head Darryl Zanuck) (1962), is an epic, minute-by-minute account of the Normandy landings on D-Day, based on war correspondent Cornelius Ryan’s classic book.
    Don’t expect any prolonged battle scenes either; this movie, shot in black-and-white on the actual locations to increase its realism as a re-enactment of World War II events, merely establishes a detailed timeline of the goings-on on both sides on June 6 1944.
    Every detail you see is historically accurate!
