While it provides closure and ends Breaking Bad/Pinkman in a satisfying way the movie doesn’t misses usual Breaking Bad tension, hilarity, badassery, and deft filmmaking.”

I am a big fan of the #BreakingBad series, in fact, I consider the show to be the greatest of all time. The way Breaking Bad ended was perfect, every nit and knocks were handled well. On the surface, we never wanted a movie that would continue the story. However before watching #Netflix’s #ElCaminoABreakingBadMovie, I revisited the series from start there is one minor hole that required filling, this farewell movie does exactly that. The hole was the end, the final moments when #JessePinkman runs away in the El Camino, laughing hysterical and in unbelief. This moment ended the series and left the ending ambiguously for many different interpretations, for years fans have created many theories and alternate endings until #VinceGilligan arrived along with #AaronPaul for a final chapter in an already finalized chapter. The movie is everything you hoped and assumed, it brings our Jesse Pinkman (Paul) as an outlaw after the aftermath of the #WalterWhite assault, he is being hunted by the police, DEA and some of Jack’s leftover gang against all odds Pinkman tries to get away to start new. More or less El Camino as the movie is very much like the old Western movie, an outlaw trying to get away from enforcers, hell, they even give the finale a *** showdown just like any western movie. The film holds the same filmmaking as the series Breaking Bad, Vince Gilligan’s solid direction like the movie’s story is continual. The storytelling is very deep and strong, the main character is given a lot of screentime. I really enjoyed the film’s silent but meaningful cinematography that provides its character, the story a lot just like Breaking Bad did. Even though the movie has pacing issues the film is never forced, every moment is build up very nicely. Talking about the film’s look then film presents itself like any other Breaking Bad episode, solid photography and Albuquerque is shown, used as background very well. Though many Breaking Bad characters return, even some that dead over at the show. The movie uses a smart way to bring back. Though I was not a big fan of the aging actor that tried to provide the same feel and looks like the show. For example, Todd was looking very apart from the show, he put on some pounds which really didn’t help the character similarly when Aaron Paul at the end is given a scene where he tries to provide a scene similar to season 2’s Jesse with Jane doesn’t really hit me as director hoped for. I would have liked if the director avoided scenes like this. I know you cant expect the actors to be the same after 5 years. Though one actor brings the same energy as the show, Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman. The actor has gained many good shows and average movies behind his belt after the show. The flawed character and now broken character is played phenomenally by Aaron Paul. Who provides so much depth, the emotions of a man suffering from PTSD and many mental scars are fantastically this has to be his finest performance. The returning actors are great too, Mike, Walter White, Jane and not to mention quick favorite Badger and Skinny Pete are outstanding as well. Their minor roles feel like cameos but they add so many layers to the main character Jesse Pinkman, they help him one way or another. Yes, one could argue that El Camino is an unnecessarily extended episode of Breaking Bad, that simply fills a gap that was already filled in fans' imaginations. But the quality of this execution cannot be argued with. Vince Gilligan's care and respect for Breaking Bad is to be admired. because it's almost impossible to believe this wasn't filmed right after Felina. Vince Gilligan clearly stopped at nothing to get the details almost right. The movie is a fan service that doesn’t overdo while telling a solid story. There is a formula and it sticks to it, doesn’t dumb down things for the show or its outstanding characters. Breaking Bad remains to be my favorite show and El Camino only adds more icing on the cake, provides fans closure and serves a satisfactory end for not only Jesse Pinkman but Breaking Bad. Overall the story is very much like you will predict it but it’s the way it is presented that makes it great. El Camino is one of finest movies of the year and a must-watch for any Breaking Bad fan, for whom the movie is mainly made.
