American computer giant Dell has initiated a fresh round of layoffs that has reportedly affected about 10% of its workforce, or roughly 12,500 employees. According to media reports, the latest layoffs have primarily impacted the company's sales teams, including long-standing employees. These layoffs are part of Dell's shift toward AI products and services. In a memo titled "Global Sales Modernization Update," senior executives Bill Scannell and John Byrne wrote, “We are getting leaner. We're streamlining layers of management and reprioritizing where we invest." Reports indicated that affected employees are expected to receive a severance package comprising two months' wages, plus an additional week for each year of service, up to a maximum of 26 weeks. The Competition Commission of India has found that iPhone maker Apple abuses its market dominance and engages in unfair business practices, harming lakhs of app developers and consumers, TOI reported. The US intelligence agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has reportedly reached out to the Indian cryptocurrency exchange WazirX to study the nature of a cyberattack involving the North Korean hacking group Lazarus Group and support the investigation. It's worth noting that WazirX did not disclose who is behind the attack, but co-founder Nischal Shetty suggested that it could be North Korea's Lazarus Group, as identified by Cyfirma. Cyfirma said that the state-sponsored attack is linked to North Korea's Reconnaissance General Bureau (RGB), a primary intelligence service. Cyfirma's researchers' analysis revealed that close to $235 million in crypto assets were stolen due to the breach.
