India ended the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships 2021 with 16 medals – four gold, seven silver, and five bronze medal at Tashkent. India had sent 19 representatives in different categories to compete this year.
The four Commonwealth gold medallists – Jeremy Lalrinnunga, Achinta Sheuli, Ajay Singh, Purnima Pandey – have qualified directly for the 2022 Games in Birmingham.
The Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships 2021, which acts as a qualifying event for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, held in Tashkent along with World Weightlifting Championships 2021 from December 7 to 17.
