What you will do (Responsibilities)

Authors and maintains applications used to execute a test plan on manufactured product.
Performs complex testing of DZS products in a customer focused manner.
Responsible for performing complete mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic audits on DZS products.
Design, build, set up, and troubleshoot test stations used to perform functional tests on DZS products.
Initiate and follow through on corrective actions resulting from nonconformities found during QA Audits.
Checks and reviews production priorities.
Continually updates and upgrades skills and knowledge of products, related operations, and processes to increase work assignment flexibility and contribution to self directed work team enabling problem solving and decision-making.
Writes technical documentation and procedures that will be used by manufacturing team members
Must be able to work overtime on short notice including nights, weekends and holidays when needed.
Support internal documentation systems in accordance with ISO 9001.
Creates and maintains technical documentation and procedures that will be used by manufacturing team members to build and test high tech products.
Verifies and resolves manufacturing issues within area of expertise.
Supports the build, inspection, and rework activities for prototype runs.
Reads, understands, and works effectively with mechanical drawings and documents including Bills of Material, assembly drawings, work instructions, and test procedures.
Interfaces with manufacturing team members on a regular basis to train, communicate processes or resolve issues.
Supports quality initiatives (aware of quality issues, documents issues, investigates down to root cause, recommends corrective action).
Writes and tracks purchase requisitions, intra-company parts requests, and stock move tickets.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues with manufacturing test stations. Performs periodic maintenance as needed.
Maintains an inventory of station repair parts for high failing items.
Shows initiative and commitment to complete production work on schedule.
Ensures equipment calibration schedules are current. May perform in-house calibration on basic equipment.
Performs lab ESD checks, logs all results.
Assists production technical department as required
Fabricates customized cable assemblies

You will bring ( Qualifications )

AA/AS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
Must have 1-3 years of experience in high tech manufacturing environment
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to effectively read, write, speak and comprehend English.
Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task across multiple programs.
Must have experience with basic computer tools, i.e., MS Office.
Working knowledge of Engineering Design applications, such as Mentor, Allegro is preferred.
