Responsibilities
Confers with engineering personnel to resolve testing problems relating to specification and to review test plans such as types and cycles of test conditions under each test that are to be conducted and duration of tests.
Performs the following testing as required by the Product Engineers as directed by the Testing Manager, Test Engineer, Test Lab Supervisor or Lead Test Technicians:Dynamic/Mechanical Testing
Static (stress/strain) Testing
Fatigue Testing
Vibration Testing
Examines parts for conformance with testing specification.
Coordinates and participates in fixturing and competition of all mechanical characterization testing.
Provides recommendation input and feedback for testing and test results.
Compile data into required format:Dynamic/Mechanical Testing
Static (stress/strain) Testing
Fatigue Testing
Vibration Testing
Monitor controls and instruments and records test data for engineer’s use.
Preventative maintenance.
Qualifications
Two years technical degree or two years testing experience.
Previous experience with MTS 793 MPT software and FlexTest Controllers, is a plus but not required.
Complete testing work orders per instructions.
Interface and communicate with engineering personnel.
Technical knowledge of test equipment and software.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to calibrate equipment.
On-Site: Must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate to the South Haven, MI area.
