Responsibilities

Support software engineers by triaging requests and answering questions when possible
Diagnosis, troubleshoot and remediate development platform and software incidents
Rotating on-call incident response schedule for support of critical production systems
Collaborate with the business and IT to improve the reliability and security of systems
Automate processes to reduce or eliminate manual steps and improve reproducibility
Work with business partners to utilize monitoring and observability more effectively
Participate in IT infrastructure migrations, including communication and coordination
Rigorously document technical systems and solutions and updates on a regular basis
Partner with engineering to patch and improve existing operational systems and processes

Qualifications:

Minimum education level is a bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology discipline
5+ years of experience in software engineer support and operations in AWS required
Experience with Terraform, Vault, Ansible, Python and Kubernetes, or similar, required
Linux expertise including system administration and troubleshooting skills a must
Strong technical skills in systems operations, cloud computing & storage technologies
Life sciences degree or industry experience in biotech, pharma or diagnostics a plus
A focus on solution delivery, with excellent time management and organization skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with your own team, technical IT partners, and customer
