Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is hiring a Mechanical Test Technician to support the R&D efforts of our enterprise client in the Consumer Electronics & Technology Industry located in Fort Collins, CO. In this position, the Mechanical Test Technician will need to come onsite from day one so you will need to be local to the area.

Summary:
The Mechanical Test Technician will design and/or construct test tools/equipment/fixtures as requested by engineering staff in addition to supporting the development of new test methods and the maintenance of existing test methods. They will first line troubleshoot support for test systems (EMC, mechanical, acoustics, thermal, etc.) during testing and perform system verifications and characterizations.

Responsibilities:
* Run mechanical, thermal, and acoustic qualification tests
* The Mechanical Test Technician will configure and assemble hardware prior to tests being performance
* Coordinate with the ODM to report findings and make enhancements
* Install scripts and ensure scripts are performing at the optimum rate
* As a Mechanical Test Technician, you will review and follow up on findings/results of tests

REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering nice to have
* 2+ years of experience performing hardware testing
* Knowledge and expertise around mechanical, acoustic, or thermal testing
* Ability to analyze/evaluate functionality of test equipment and possibly perform maintenance as needed
* Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and extremely high attention to detail
* Willingness to learn tests being performed and try to anticipate needs of tests, techs, and engineers
