Responsibilities:

Design and build database and data engineering solutions to serve needs across the organization
Achieves organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases
Maintains database by determining structural requirements and developing and installing solutions
Ensures security of all information and computer systems and digital data
Ensures adherence to government regulations and guidelines for technological systems and safeguarding of data
Troubleshoots and finds solutions for computer systems issues that affect data storage as they arise
Studies organizational mission, goals, and business drivers, and confers with senior management to understand information requirements
Build highly performant NoSQL/RDBMS solutions and help troubleshoot problem areas for unmatched performance and reliability.
Own or support the data definitions and lineage across our organization. Define systems of record and catalog operational and nonoperational data stores. Consult with features teams on how to get them the data they need.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations
Help teach other team members about data architecture, and also be a consultant for developers who need help with data.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or information systems
10+ years of experience and expertise in database and systems architecture design, development and implementation with Oracle technologies (like Oracle database, Grid, Oracle Golden Gate, ASM, RAC, and Oracle Enterprise Manager)
10+ years of expertise and experience in data structures, indexing, query, and retrieval
Excellent data management skills including ensuring data integrity, data access, security and archiving procedures
10+ years of experience in system analysis and data management
7+ years of experience with other relational database technologies (SQL Server, MySQL, AWS Aurora, or PostgreSQL)
7+ years of public cloud experience (AWS, and Azure)
7+ years of experience using Ansible, Jenkins, Jira, Rundeck and Service Now
5+ years of experience with Python, and shell scripting
4+ years of experience with NoSQL database technologies (like Mongo, Cosmos, Dynamo, or Document databases)
4+ years of experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Azure and AWS automation tools
Strong communication skills
