Location : Remote Skills: AWS Platform Support+ DevOps Job Description: Solutions architecture design for AWS platform services & monitoring framework using architectural design principles based on customer requirements Reviewing implementation of platform services to ensure alignment against design AWS well architected framework Leading the development of AWS architecture patterns, blueprints, and standards Working closely with deployment, security, and compliance teams in the development of patterns and solutions Leading the architecture governance approvals for new AWS services Maintain a view of the AWS roadmap in monitoring framework and review changes made by Amazon to understand the impact to the current AWS service patterns Research and development of new cloud services to improve performance, security and efficiency of AWS hosted services Maintaining a Global AWS Service Catalogue which shows the approval status of AWS services Providing architectural approval for new projects onboarding to AWS Providing ad-hoc consultancy where required to projects using AWS infrastructure Requirement: Experience of working as a Lead of AWS Solutions Architect Demonstrable experience working with AWS in an architecture capacity Demonstrable experience of designing AWS solutions using a combination of cloud native, 3rd party and on-premises technologies Demonstrable experience of infrastructure build and configurations of a variety of AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, databases (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB) and VPC configurations Demonstrable experience of facilitating solution design workshops Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to discuss technical detail with business stakeholders Deep understanding of AWS well architected framework all 6 pillars Deep understanding of AWS well architected framework – Operational Pillars especially in Monitoring framework Deep understanding of logging & monitoring tools and their use cases – Elasticsearch, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Deep understanding of infrastructure as code using AWS Cloud Formation, CFN Stack Sets, CDK Essential Skills: Min 4 years demonstrable experience working with AWS in an architecture capacity Min 2 years experience working as a Lead DevOps engineer or an AWS Solutions Architect Experience of developing Solutions architecture designs in tools such as MS Visio, Draw.io etc. Experience of working in an Agile and DevOps environment Experience of building and implementing enterprise-wide architecture principles, framework, standards, blueprints, and patterns Desirable Skill: Must have - AWS Certifications – Solutions Architecture (Associated Exam) Nice to have - AWS Certifications – Solutions Architecture (Professional Exam) Nice to have - Enterprise architecture qualifications (e.g., TOGAF, Zach Mann)
