The European Medicines Agency (EMA) on October 4, 2021, approved the single booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine Comirnaty for those aged 18 and older. The public health bodies will issue directions at the national level to the EU member states on the use of booster vaccines in accordance with the EMA.
