A comprehensive study suggested at least nine bouts were suspicious, while two bouts caused the system to "publicly collapse", including the gold medal bout in the heavyweight division and the quarter-final bout in bantamweight.
A system existed for the manipulation of boxing bouts at the 2016 Rio Olympics, Richard McLaren, the head of the independent investigation commissioned by the sport's world governing AIBA, said in his report on Thursday.
McLaren said that the seeds for the system were sown many years before, including all of the Olympic Games held in the 21st century.
