48% of Europeans, nearly every second citizen, are satisfied with the EU's handling of pandemics, according to a new Eurobarometer poll recently released. About a third of those surveyed view the EU neutrally, and only 17% rated it negatively. Some 74% said the EU "should have more competence" to deal with pandemics.
Despite the difficult times that we all face, the overall trend stayed the same: EU citizens are positive about the European project and they still perceive it as the right answer to the problems of our times.
“Volt wants to lead by example and foster a united and federal Europe. A European democracy. This form of government is not an end in itself but a means to tackle our shared challenges like migration, climate change and social inequality. We need to internationalize local and national politics instead of nationalizing international politics. European politics can only become a reality if we form real European parties and that is exactly what Volt is working on! For a Future. Made in Europe” . @reiniervanlanschot
