As of Saturday, three-quarters of Belgians over 18 received their first vaccination against Covid 19, with 42 percent fully vaccinated! In Flanders, 79 percent of adults have been vaccinated and 95 percent of people over 65, with some areas reaching 100 percent! 💉🩹 Belgium is now leading all other EU countries besides Malta 🇲🇹 in the vaccination of its citizens.🧔👩‍🦰👵🧕👧This is even more significant considering the serious challenges that Belgium faced when trying to control the spread of Covid 19 during the first waves of the pandemic and in procuring vaccines. 💉💉💉 Volt Belgium commends the Belgian health authorities for this success and especially the efforts and sacrifices of our brave health workers on the frontline of this crisis 👩‍🔬👨‍⚕️💜 But there is still more to be done before this crisis is over. We call on the Belgian Federal Government to keep up the pace and ensure that all regions of Belgium are supplied with enough vaccines.
