HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BATMAN! On this day in 1989, Tim Burton’s noir spin on the well-known story of the DC Comics hero Batman was released in theaters. This is the first movie that I saw at a movie theater and it not only spawned my love for cinema, but also my love for the greatest comic book superhero of all time. Michael Keaton starred in the film as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Jack Nicholson played Gotham's greatest villain, The Joker. While Christopher Nolan's DARK KNIGHT Trilogy is my all-time favorite trilogy of films, BATMAN will always be my favorite standalone comic book movie.
