Billionaires tied to AI were hit hardest, with Huang losing $20.1 billion (20% of his wealth), and Oracle’s Larry Ellison losing $22.6 billion (12% of his fortune). Dell’s Michael Dell lost $13 billion, and Binance’s Changpeng Zhao saw a $12.1 billion loss. The Nasdaq dropped 3.1% and the S&P 500 fell 1.5%. DeepSeek, which has been working on AI models since 2023, gained attention after its chatbot app became wildly popular, leading to server issues and restrictions on new users.
