RESPONSIBILITIES * Own the functional testing strategy of the application: analyze and estimate stories, write and execute test plans, evaluate and execute regression tests, and support production releases * Work closely with product, design, and development teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements * Own sprint-level work assignments of the team to ensure coverage across new features * Identify, prioritize and automate appropriate test cases * Participate in the functional, integration and regression testing of the application: execute both manual and automated tests and analyze test results * Partner with development teams to discover, analyze, write, retest and close defects as they arise * Work with QAs from different teams to provide end to end testing coverage * Participate in all agile ceremonies as a member of the scrum team QUALIFICATIONS Basic * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience * 5+ years of hands-on experience * Excellent programming, debugging and optimization skills in one or more general programming languages including Python, java, JavaScript * Demonstrated knowledge of OOP concepts, design patterns and test automation * Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration * Experience using software feature tracking and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence * Demonstrated experience in the Agile/Scrum software development life cycle * Capacity to learn quickly and share knowledge * Flexible and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short sprint cycles
