Project Description

We've been engaged by a large European Bank to provide resources to their Murex program.

Responsibilities

You will be working with an established team of Murex Support consultants both in India and onshore and perform tasks linked to Interfaces, Workflows, Functional discrepancies, Environment management, configuration, EOD process, etc..

Must have

5+ years in Murex
Strong in SQL & Unix
Good hands on experience in debugging issues in DM, MxML, etc.
Experience in supervising the Murex environment implementation and maintenance across development, UAT and PROD
Good understanding in Incident and problem management, Release Management, Configuration Management processes.
Strong experience in Environment planning and allocation, build/refresh, End-to-end support.
Performs routine administrative / technical tasks to appropriately maintain the system

What will you be doing?

Test environment allocation as needed
Maintaining a central storehouse of test-environments (in their latest version) along with connectivity details
Test environment configuration (module, system, sub-module)
Work alongside E2E Test Team, Release Team and Domain teams to build strategic environments
Environments monitoring
Executing E2E environment strategy with environment provisioning and support
Setup environments with component teams and troubleshoot environment and connectivity issues
Lead Time and Quality improvement for all Releases through effective environment provisioning controls
Effective Collaboration with different components and platform teams for getting the issue triaged
Regular updates to all stakeholders covering the environment tickets and respective status
Planning, provisioning and implementing New changes & upgrades for the environments
Managing the plan to deliver the environments in the timescales required
Responding to adhoc request to provide/ change an environment in response to an urgent issue
Deployment Management; Creating implementation plans for deploying to all environments
Maintain up-to-date documents related to environment demand management
Undertake daily, weekly and monthly report creation
Demonstrate examples of innovation and enhancement.
Maintenance of review records and preparation of Metrics

What We’re Looking For

Understanding of environment management and debugging of issues.
Log parsing skills
Familiar with Win and UNIX Server management
Hands on experience on Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX Shell Script, Scheduling tools such as Autosys or Control M, proficient on UNIX Shell
Should have experience of building the CI/CD pipeline and release automation
Have sound understanding of GIT, TeamCity, JIRA, Confluence
Experience working on monitoring tools like ITRS, ELK, Grafana, AppDynmics
Knowledge on Change, Release Management and Infrastructure management.
Good knowledge of design/build/support activities for all environments
Experience on provisioning Infrastructure in Physical, Virtual and Cloud environments

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

Agile and DevOps processes and toolsets. Also Effectively managing risks, issues and dependencies; status reporting and escalation. (Preferred) Understanding of Equity Derivative business.
