    Skills: 3+ years of test experience preferably in automotive. Automotive seating experience would be optimal.

    Shift: Shift 2. Initially, candidates will work the day shift (7AM to 3:30PM) while being trained. Ultimately the employee will move to 2nd shift ( Monday - Friday 2:30PM to 11PM)


    Job Purpose:

    A hands-on laboratory based position that utilizes equipment, software and hardware to setup and run tests that evaluate and/or validate seating mechanisms. This position ensures that these tests are conducted safely, efficiently, correctly, and in accordance with published and/or provided specifications and requirements.

    Strength and Durability specific Duties:

    Conduct the mechanical and instrumentation setup and teardown for strength, electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic durability testing that may also include environmental exposure.

    Perform strength, electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic durability testing that may also include environmental exposure.

    Use IMC DataWorks and/or LabView data acquisition systems to collect test data.

    Responsible for test instrumentation set-up, calibration, and usage. Instrumentation may include accelerometers, strain gages, load cells, string potentiometers, and digital cameras.

    Responsible for programming and running of programmable logic controllers for durability tests.

    Setup and usage of environmental chambers.

    Required Skills

    Test lab experience (equipment, methods, and instruments)

    Data Acquisition Systems experience (IMC DataWorks or LabView preferred)

    Programmable controller experience
