In an unusually frank speech while in #London,. #India’s_Defence_Minister #Rajnath_Singh has said, ” #China is considered as the opponent of #India, we don’t consider China as our opponent, maybe China considers so. We don’t consider anyone as our opponent…in 2020, a faceoff happened between India and China, and the bravery that was shown by our security forces, maybe that is the reason why China’s perspective about India has changed. They realised that India is not weak anymore…earlier we used to be the biggest importer of defence equipment but now we are in the top 25 countries when it comes to exporting defence items…”

  • All because of something I can’t control. Being jewish.

So I didn’t talk about it.

In fact I don’t speak outwardly about situations like this because I’m scared of the reaction I’ll get.

It’s crazy that in 2022, I’m scared to post about something that is so important.

I’ve heard a lot of arguments in Kayne’s defence that it’s freedom of speech, he should be allowed to say what he wants.

And I’m all for freedom of speech, but that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be consequences to peoples actions.

Especially if someone is being outwardly anti-semitic, racist, Islamophobic or anything else for that matter.

Whether you’re jewish or not, the thought that something like the Holocaust happening again isn’t just an unimaginable thing is petrifying.

Like I said I’m guilty of not speaking out because of the reaction I’ll get, so I don’t blame other people for being the same.

But sadly being passive in this discussion just won’t cut it anymore.

  • Russia sends in more troops amid barrage of eastern Ukraine:

Russia is deploying troop reinforcements in eastern Ukraine to help capture a key city, a Ukrainian official said Tuesday, as Moscow’s artillery kept up a barrage aimed at grinding down Ukrainian defences.

Luhansk governor Serhiy Haidai told The Associated Press that Russian forces control the industrial outskirts of Sievierodonetsk, one of two cities in the Luhansk region still in Ukrainian hands.

“Toughest street battles continue, with varying degrees of success,” Haidai said. “The situation constantly changes, but the Ukrainians are repelling attacks.” Russia appears bent on capturing the entire eastern Donbas part of Ukraine, which is made up of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Though while the Kremlin’s forces have superior firepower, the Ukrainians defenders — among them the country’s most well-trained forces — are entrenched and have the capability to counterattack.

  • G7 Germany 2022:

We, the G7 Foreign Ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, and the High Representative of the European Union, have met today in a fundamentally changed strategic and security environment. The Russian war of aggression against Ukraine is a watershed moment for the 21st century and carries dramatic consequences far beyond Europe. We, the G7, want to make abundantly clear that we will not sit by whilst countries flagrantly disregard the international rulebook, on which we all depend for peace, prosperity, security and stability.

We condemn, in the strongest possible terms, Russia’s unjustifiable, unprovoked and illegal war of aggression against Ukraine. Russia has blatantly violated the rules-based international order, international law and humanitarian principles and it has breached universally agreed and legally binding fundamental principles such as peaceful cooperation, sovereignty, self-determination and territorial integrity. We remain steadfast in our commitment to defend peace, human rights, the rule of law, human security and gender equality, as recognized by international law including the UN Charter and conventions, and call on our partners to join us in these efforts. Our success will depend on stronger defence, economic security, and deeper global alliances with friends and partners.

  • UK To Provide 1.3 Billion Pounds Of Further Military Support To Ukraine:

Britain said it would provide a further 1.3 billion pounds ($1.60 billion) in military support and aid to Ukraine, making the pledge ahead of a planned video call on Sunday by Group of Seven leaders with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Prime Minister Johnson has been one of the strongest supporters of Ukraine's efforts to resist Russian forces since Russian President Vladimir Putin launched the invasion on Feb. 24. Johnson's government has sent anti-tank missiles, air defence systems and other weapons to Ukraine.

The new pledge almost doubles Britain's previous spending commitments on Ukraine and the government said this is the highest rate of spending on a conflict since the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, although it did not give details of this calculation.
