Full Job Description

Harvest Food Group is looking for a talented QA Technician to join our Quality Assurance team. The QA Technician performs daily evaluation of work in process and finished products to ensure strict adherence to specifications regarding product safety and quality. Responsible for tracking paperwork and submitting correct and timely information. Performs sanitation, GMP and other required inspections. Maintains HACCP, SQF and customer compliance documents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitors production process to assure that products are meeting quality and safety specs.
Performs pre-operational and operational inspections of equipment and production areas.
Performs incoming inspections of carriers, ingredients, and packaging materials.
Monitors, analyzes, and documents in-process conditions, materials, and products.
Collects samples for microbiology testing of ingredients and finished products.
Enforces QA policies and procedures.
Audits production areas and personnel.
Collects samples for environmental microbiology monitoring of production areas.
Performs GMP audits and monitors GMP conditions.
Assists in complaint investigations where necessary.
Monitors and performs equipment calibrations.
Measures and monitors temperatures.
Completes accurate QA documentation.
Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience as quality technician in USDA-monitored facility preferred.
Available to work flexible hours including second shift when needed
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb to perform job functions as needed
