Job Description


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



Writes test plan documents and test scripts designed to test the functionality of specific software modifications and enhancements based on provided software functional specifications

Interfaces with developers and other departments as directed to ensure that functional specifications are clearly stated and understood

Conducts software testing, regression tests and performs manual testing according to the appropriate test documents

Clearly reports and documents test variances using the appropriate issue reporting mechanisms

Communicates testing issues/problems/anomalies to the QA Supervisor (or to the Development Department as directed)

Builds virtual machines and performs basic maintenance/functions on ESXI

Assures that adequate documentation is included with all CR, ER, RI and defects

Performs system and regression testing on software changes of limited scope

May be required to assist in the documenting of software features

Participates in factory acceptance testing and training activities as directed by the QA Supervisor

Attends and observes customer software demonstration when necessary

May assist in installation of software systems at customer sites
