Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform duties using regular test equipment in accordance with prescribed procedures, practices, and specifications.
Perform moderate to complex duties on a wide variety of production line instruments that have failed in previous testing or in operational use. This level is based on business need.
Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation.
Input to writing or modifying of test procedures and construct new test fixtures from drawings and specifications.
May collect, analyze, and report data on test processes and act as information source on related procedures and practices.
Under limited supervision, receive no instructions on routine work assignments and general instructions on new assignments.
Solve problems of moderate to high complexity.
Most work is not verified by another and errors may create some loss of funds, accounts, cause delays or affect Company image.
Independent contacts with internal customers requiring discussion and interpretation.
Sound knowledge of related test practices, processes and procedures, ability to operate all types of electronic test equipment.
Knowledge of computer systems architecture, high level language programming and computer bus structuring fundamentals desirable.
Effective communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot test processes and use judgment in resolving problems.


Basic Qualifications:

Two (2)+ years of recent experience testing, troubleshooting to the component level, repairing, or reworking, calibrating, inspecting, and certifying a variety of electronic subassemblies, assemblies and completed instruments.
Understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
Work independently with little instruction on daily work. General instructions on newly introduced assignments.
Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
Position may require occasional movement of objects up to 40 lbs.
May involve exposure to chemicals, solvents, and solder smoke.
Must be able to match up colors and be able to assemble small pieces, required due to frequent close work.
Must be able to read, speak and understand English to understand oral or written safety information, supervisory direction, and other instructions.
