Job Description:
A hands-on laboratory-based position that utilizes equipment, software and hardware to setup and run tests that evaluate and/or validate seating mechanisms. This position ensures that these tests are conducted safely, efficiently, correctly, and in accordance with published and/or provided specifications and requirements.
Determine seat H-Points by executing existing test procedures using SAE J826 mannikins.
Scan seat surfaces to create 3D Models using Faro arms / laser scanners.
Produce pressure maps of seat cushions and backs using Xsensor pressure mats.
Take head rest dimensional measurements per applicable regulations.
Perform a variety of safety checks and or functional checks on seat test samples.
Desired:
Experience measuring H-Points.
Laser scanning using Faro arms/scanners.
Pressure mapping using Xsensor pressure mats.
