Skills & Qualification

Capable of designing & hands-on coding for IAC concepts, leveraging tools like Terraform, Packer, Ansible, CHEF, Puppet
Can differentiate why various tools & IAC concepts would be considered or used
Understands best practices with IAC concepts
Understands the impact of containers in this space
Understands the complexities of building IAC solutions that can scale, be re-usable across multiple env (dev, test, integration, UAT, cert, prod, etc)
Should be familiar with other, non-IAC aspects of Devops, like CI (Jenkins/AzureDevOps), testing, automating delivery, etc.
How this may be more unique than others:
We are consulting .not internal delivery. We are going to start putting more emphasis on communications & client-facing ability to share vision/knowledge.
We have several strategy efforts initially. Those don't require hands-on coding they are interview heavy with client, gathering current state documentation, developing recommendations, being able to talk through the pros/cons of options.
Many pure tech resources don't even like the thought of this type work it means less time during day allowing them to be by themselves coding and instead requires conference calls with others collaborating on 'soft' deliverables (ppt, word, excel).
