Qualifications

University degree in Computer Science, Technology or Engineering

At least 15 years demonstrated experience as Software Engineering leader

At least 5 years demonstrated experience as a Senior level Software Engineering leader.

Proven track record of delivering high quality software products on time, within budget, etc.

Required Technical Skills

Knowledge of programming languages, databases, cloud and container technologies, Agile methodologies in support of managing a highly skilled engineering team

Experience in OS (Unix, Linux, Windows, MacOS)

Experience in relational databases (MS SQL, IBM DB2)

Experience with Java application servers

Experience with ecosystem of development tools

Awareness of distributed version control systems and project management tools (GIT, or similar)

Working experience with defect management tracking tools (JIRA, Rational Team Concert or similar)

Understand bigger picture, propose design and architectural improvements/changes

Experience in performing complex problem determination & root cause analysis

Required Soft Skills

Ability to interact with challenging personalities, manage volatile situations, and conflict resolution

Strong analytical ability

Efficient customer communication bonus to documentation, social media, and other mass communication capabilities
