JOB PURPOSE

The Revenue Specialist is responsible for pricing and promotions build requests, investigating and correcting price-related issues in the systems, and facilitating the evaluation and quoting of non-standard groups.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Pricing & promotions responsibilities:

•Create pricing forms for price changes and new promotion builds and work with Corporate Revenue Management team to apply their feedback to submit final builds.

•Liaise with Setup team in Europe to ensure build requests are completed in a timely manner.

•Test prices and promotions in various booking tools and check new pricing for accuracy and consistency across channels.

•Investigate pricing discrepancies, missing items, etc. in systems and correct where needed and provide updated price codes.

•Assist with weekly price benchmarking, pulling major competitors' pricing from various sources and ensuring file is updated and accurate.

•Other duties as assigned by the Director of Revenue Management.

Group business responsibilities:

•Work closely with the Groups department and the Sales business managers to quote non-standard groups that require special terms and/or rates.

•Evaluate group requests based on sailing occupancy and revenue implications of special rates and amenity offerings. Ensure that the group quote is in line with the revenue expectations of the cruise date.

•Ensure quick turnaround of new group requests and follow-up communication to requesters. Ensure the correct and accurate submission of Jira Request and/or Service Tickets, and continually follow up to obtain rapid approval from Corporate Revenue Management/Inventory departments in Europe.

•Coordinate with Groups department and Corporate Revenue Management on revenue/inventory-impacting changes to existing non-standard groups.


QUALIFICATIONS

•Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written skills. Must to be able to communicate professionally and effectively with various departments within the organization, both US and abroad.

•Associates Degree or higher required.

•4+ years of work experience; previous experience in travel or hospitality, particularly in cruise, airline, or hotel, a plus

•Experienced with Microsoft Word and Excel – comfortable updating large spreadsheets with high level of accuracy

•Possession of computer and troubleshooting skills to proficiently manage the various reservations, setup, and ticketing systems. Ability to notice inaccuracies and curiosity to investigate and solve issues.

•Strong business judgement and decision-making skills.

•Highly proactive in getting assignments done quickly and accurately.

•Strong organizational skills, time management and attention to details.

•Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work independently and/or within a team.
