Overview:

A Senior Front-End Software Engineer who has strong experience in various front-end frameworks and develops software with a focus on design. Your primary focus will be developing, implementing, and maintaining business-critical custom applications. You will work within an Agile environment and act as a mentor in a team of software engineers as well as designing, developing, and testing solutions.

Role Objectives:

Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Reviewing application requirements and interface designs
Developing and implementing highly responsive user-interface components
Monitoring and improving front-end performance
Consistently adhere to established coding standards and contribute to further refinement on an ongoing basis
Work closely with product manager to flesh out business requirements on specific features and define technical specs
Manage deliverables as assigned in Jira
Perform peer code reviews
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Work well in an agile environment

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience developing production applications, mostly using React-Redux
5+ years of experience coding JavaScript, HTML, CSS3
Very strong proficiency in newer specifications of JavaScript (ES6, ES7, ES8)
Comfortable working with RESTful APIs
Experience with common front-end development tools such as NPM, Babel, and Webpack
Thorough understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, promises, and AJAX
Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Nightwatch, and Cypress
Comfortable working with Git
Familiar with Microservices
Experience with Cloud Infrastructure, notably AWS and GCP
