Red Dead Redemption 2 players were stunned by an alternate ending that was made by a fan of the game. The story mode in Red Dead Redemption 2 is the title's pinnacle achievement, and players continue to enjoy it today. Red Dead Redemption 2: Special Edition for Sale can be prepared by players enough.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is widely regarded as one of the greatest stories in all of gaming, and its harrowing ending took gamers by surprise when it was first released in 2018. The game is a prequel to 2010's Red Dead Redemption, which only amplifies the bittersweet side of the story. There's a dramatic irony in knowing that some characters' fates are sealed long before the bullet is fired, and it lends a melancholic undertone to Red Dead Redemption 2's massive campaign. Very few characters in Red Dead Redemption 2 get happy endings, a brave choice by Rockstar, which over the years has earned the right to attempt such a bold move in a AAA game. There is no doubt that it will bring great rewards.

Redditor Georgian_Shark posted the shocking alternate ending, which shows former protagonist Arthur Morgan emerging from the hut at the end of Red Dead Redemption 2's epilogue instead of Dutch van der Linde. Arthur of course died at the end of chapter 6, and Dutch escaped with his life, so it would definitely be a twist if he came back here. The clip uses in-game voice lines to make it look completely natural, and it fits perfectly. While it's clearly using mods to create the effects, the exact mods haven't been posted to the thread, unfortunately.

Players in the thread were quick to make a joke about the mod. One user claimed the video was "directed by M. Night Shyamalan," referring to the film director's fondness for twist endings. Others had real suggestions for how it would play out in the game, with one Redditor saying it would be a cool ending if Arthur Morgan came out with low honors, he lived and turned to John Marston in the epilogue concept. Red Dead Redemption 2's bleak ending is slightly affected by how high or low a player's Honor is, but it only affects how Arthur dies, which could be an interesting choice if handled properly.

When Rockstar finally decided to release Red Dead Redemption 3, the developers had huge boots to fill the likenesses of protagonists John Marston and Arthur Morgan. The pair are two of the most beloved protagonists in gaming history, and the developers will have to try something radically different in order to exceed player expectations. Some players wanted a female protagonist in Red Dead Redemption 3, which could be a good avenue for a sequel, especially with the popularity of Red Dead Redemption 2's gunslinger Sadie Adler.
