The Trial of Merlin can be seen all over the vast map of the Hogwarts legacy. Trials are a form of challenge that provide players with a small puzzle to solve. Every time a certain number of puzzles are solved, the protagonist has the opportunity to increase the Gear equipment load. Players can prepare enough Hogwarts Legacy Boosting Service in the game.

Of all the zones available, Feldcroft is one of the few zones in Hogwarts Legacy to contain more than 10 Trials of Merlin. Some are next to each other and can be reached instantly by heading to the Floo Flame, while others are a bit further away and require mounts from Hogwarts Legacy.

The Trial of Merlin in the Fieldcroft area of Hogwarts Legacy

A total of 16 Trials of Merlin have been found in the Fieldcroft area. Each requires Mallowsweet Leaves to activate. The test is:

Trials of Merlin #1 - Pillar Puzzle

Head to West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame in the northern part of the Feldcroft area, and head south to Merlin's Proving Grounds. To solve it, the player must use Confringo to destroy five stone pillars. Use Revelio to pinpoint the exact location of the posts.

Trials of Merlin #2 - Stone Cube Puzzle

Head north from the first location to reach the second Merlin Proving Ground. Players must defeat enemies before activating the Trial. Here it is crucial to use Flipendo to rotate all three symbol cubes and match the top with the cube on the bottom post.

Head to the pillar to the east, use Flipendo on the first symbol, then repeat on the second until the top and bottom symbols match.

Go to the west pillar and cast the same spell twice from side #1, then once on the second and third symbols to match them with the lower ones.

Go south from the second pillar to the third pillar and cast Flipendo once on the first symbol to deal with it.

Merlin Trial #3 - Platform Bridge Puzzle

Fast forward to North Feldcroft Floo Flame, then fly west to the third Merlin Trial. However, this one is guarded by enemies. After defeating the goblins, start the trial. To solve the puzzle in Hogwarts Legacy, head south, climb the wooden platform to the top, then jump onto the white platform without falling to the ground.

Trials of Merlin #4 - Pillar Puzzle

Go northwest from the previous location to reach the fourth trial. As with the first one, destroy five pillars with Confringo.

A pillar is to the west, across the Merlin Altar.

One is found alone in the south.

Two pillars are on the east side.

The last pillar is hidden behind some thorns to the southwest.

Merlin Trial #5 - Platform Bridge Puzzle

From the Rookwood Castle floo flame, head northwest to find the fifth Merlin Trial. Activate the trial and jump on all the platforms without missing any or falling into the water.

Trials of Merlin #6 - Brazier Puzzle

Fly north from the fifth trial to the sixth trial. In Hogwarts Legacy, players must light three braziers with a fire spell. All need to be lit before one reaches the ground, so this puzzle requires speed.

Merlin Trial #7 - Orbs Pillars Puzzle

Players can walk or fly east from their current location to reach the Seventh Trial. Nine spheres must be destroyed to solve this Trial of Merlin.

The first three can be seen next to the trial platform.

Three more are visible to the southwest.

The last three are located on a separate platform northwest of the camp.

Trials of Merlin #8 - Broken Statue Puzzle

Summon a broom in Hogwarts Legacy and fly southeast to the next trial. Reparo was crucial to repairing three damaged statues. Use Revelio to mark the location of the statue.

The first is northwest, near the altar.

The second is the north.

The last statue is found by heading south up the ramp.

Trials of Merlin #9 - Pillar Puzzle

From South Feldcroft Floo Flame, head northwest to find Trial. As usual in Hogwarts Legacy, five pillars must be destroyed using the Confringo spell.

One pillar is in the northeast.

The other is the West.

One is to the south, guarded by Cottongrass Dugbog.

One can be found on top of the hill to the south.
