90% of safety accidents during drilling rig construction are caused by illegal operations. The following ten prohibitions are aimed at high-risk behaviors.

Each prohibition is accompanied by real accident cases and compliance operation points to help you build a solid safety line of defense.

1. It is strictly forbidden to operate without training

Consequences of violation: A novice at a construction site accidentally touched the emergency stop button without resetting it, causing the drilling rig to suddenly start and hit someone by his side.

Compliance requirements: Must pass the dual assessment of theory (equipment principle) + practical operation (no-load operation), and hold an operator certificate to work.

2. It is forbidden to force operation with faults

Consequences of violation: The hydraulic system oil leakage was not handled, and the oil pipe burst and sprayed hot oil, causing the operator to be scalded.

Compliance requirements: Perform the "oil level - pressure - brake" three-step inspection before starting the machine, and stop the machine immediately for repair if abnormal noise is found.

3. It is strictly forbidden to disassemble the pipeline without pressure relief

Consequences of violation: A worker disassembled the oil pipe without releasing the pressure of the hydraulic system, and the high-pressure oil column pierced his palm.

Compliance operation: After shutting down the engine, manually operate each cylinder to fully retract and release the pressure, and the pressure gauge returns to zero before operation.

4. Climbing is prohibited when the drilling rig is in operation

Consequences of violation: Climbing to adjust the rope during the operation of the drilling rig, falling from a height of 3 meters and causing a lumbar fracture.

Safety regulations: After stopping the rig and fixing the drilling rig, use a fall arrester to climb up and down the special ladder.

5. Overload drilling is strictly prohibited

Consequences of violation: forced drilling beyond the rated depth of the drilling rig (such as using a 100-meter drilling rig to drill a 150-meter well), resulting in the bursting of the gearbox of the power head.

Parameter restrictions: strictly operate according to the maximum drilling depth and torque parameters marked in the manual.

6. Construction without fixing the drilling rig is prohibited

Consequences of violation: Failure to anchor the drilling rig.

Fixing standard: 4 anchors are required for mountain construction, no less than 2 in plain areas, and the depth of burial is ≥1 meter.

7. It is strictly prohibited to ignore the alarm signal

Consequences of violation: Continue to operate even when the hydraulic oil temperature alarm is on, causing the oil pump to lock.

Response process: Hear the buzzer alarm or see the red warning light, stop the machine within 10 seconds to investigate the cause.

8. Non-operating personnel are prohibited from boarding

Consequences of violation: Family members operate the button without authorization, mistakenly start the drilling rig and damage the on-site distribution box.

Control measures: Set up a cordon in the construction area and hang a "No Entry" sign.

9. Strictly prohibit drunk or fatigued operation

Consequences of violation: Drunk operation misjudges the verticality of the drill rod, causing the borehole to deviate and hit the underground cable.

Health requirements: Fatigue operation and drunk operation are prohibited.

10. Open-air operation is prohibited in thunderstorms

Consequences of violation: The drilling rig was not equipped with a lightning rod during a thunderstorm, and the control system burned after being struck by lightning, and it took 15 days to repair.

Emergency treatment: Dismantle the drill frame before the weather warning, transfer the equipment to a lightning protection site, cut off the power supply and ground it.
